The Kendrick mystery develops into Minneapolis Detective Sergeant Will Danaher’s most challenging case; no suspect, no clues and no body. In order to unravel the mystery and save his career, Danaher will need unconventional help from unconventional sources; a grumpy old sheriff with secrets to hide, a lonely but married lake cabin housewife and a dead guy.

That leaves Detective Danaher in somewhat of a bind; don’t tell anyone how he gained his evidence, and he looks like the killer. Or reveal his secret and get cashiered as a nutcase. Can he walk the tightrope between two bad options without letting his budding relationship with the pretty housewife affect his judgement?

In the meantime, there’s a serial killer out there... and he’s already stalking his next victim.
